Tony Blescia is a multi-award winning Italian singer, multi-platinum songwriter, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist.
His career took off in 1992 after winning first place in the coveted Castrocaro Italian music festival, with his first song Cosa dice il cuore.
Soon after he signed an exclusive recording contract with Warner Music Group.
In 1993 he performed at the Sanremo Festival promoting his first album Sdraiamoci su questa citt. (Warner Music 1993). The same year, with the title track single "Sdraiamoci su questa citt'", he wins many contests and awards, most important he wins third place in the popular Italian summer song contest Cantagiro.
Tony releases two more albums between 1994 and 1998, La storia di nessuno (Warner Music 1996-1997) and Cuori a metà(Warner Music 1998), followed by a series of popular singles with tremendous radio airplay.
In 1996 with the hit single Via Tony wins second place in the biggest summer music contest "Un Disco per l'estate".
In addition Via" also wins at the "Sanremo Giovani" music contest in November '96 where he is awarded the right to partecipate to the finals of the upcoming Sanremo Festival in February 1997.
In 1997 he wins third place at the Sanremo Festival with the hit ballad E Ti Sento, which was inserted in the repackaged album La storia di nessuno (Warner Music 1997) In the same year Tony goes on tour in Europe and North America.
After two years of composing and performing live, Tony releases the single Tell me now (Edel 2000), which explores nu garage/two step solutions, introducing a brand new sound in the Italian music scene.
In 2004 Tony initiates a collaboration with various major Italian Hip-Hop/Rap artists and writes the Hit single "Non ti lascia" for Piotta where Tony appears as a featured artist.
The following year Tony writes and co-produces new songs for the debut solo album of another major hip/hop multiplatinum artist: Tormento (ex Sottotono). Tony duets with Tormento in the hit single "Il resto inutile" (Universal Music 2005), which tops the charts for over 10 weeks, and quickly becomes one of the top 20 best selling singles in Italy (Fimi/Nielsen).
His music expertise takes a huge leap when MONDO TV Spa ( A company leader in Europe in the animation industry ) commissions Tony the score and theme song for RAI's animated TV series KIM based on the best selling novel by Rudyard Kipling.
Between 2006 and 2008 he starts composing and producing the original soundtrack for KIM. The project is officially presented at the Future Film Festival 2009 in Bologna and won the prestigious Gaj Tach Award.
In 2009 Tony writes the song Vorrei tenerti qui released on Marco Cartas multi platinum-selling album La forza mia (Warner Music 2009) with over 100,000 copies sold.
In 2009 Tony signs an exclusive deal as a featured songwriter for Warner Chappell Music.
In 2010 he founds Kartunes Production, a brand exclusively aimed at producing original scores for animated cartoon series broadcasted in Europe and all over the world through Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Network Ten, Canal J, Gull, Boing, RTVE, Rai, Mediaset, making him one of the most sought after composers and producers for television scores.
In 2014-2015 he deals with the composition, production, and arrangements of the original soundtrack for the TV series in 26 episodes (co-produced by RAI Fiction) "Treasure Island" based on the best-selling novel by Robert Louis Stevenson.
He is also the composer, producer and performer of the original theme song Here come the pirates
In 2017 he works on the promo reels presented at Cannes Mip com and Mip TV, and pre-production phase for the 2019 NETFLIX ORIGINAL 3D series Yoohoo to the rescue, based on the YooHoo & Friends franchise and on the famous Korean plush toy line YooHoo & Friends ( over 80 Million plush toys sold worldwide)
In 2018, Tony starts a new collaboration deal, composing and producing original music scores and themes for Magnolia ( TV production and original format creation company ) owned by Banijay Group.
To date, his music scores and productions have been broadcasted in over 130 countries all over the globe.
