Singer, songwriter and guitarist, Danny Calixto has a broad experience composing soundtracks for children's theater, acting and also working as a musician in both theater and TV. She worked as a set designer and prop master for the Italian scenographer Gianni Ratto in "Galileo's life" with Paulo Autran.
Along her career, she participated in several type concerts until releasing her CD, "Abracadabra" in 2003. It has gained the attention from Brazilian and international press and her song were played in recognized pubs in London.
In Brazil, Abracadabra CD was available on more than 40 radio stations and Danny was nominated for two distinct awards in 2004: Pop/ Rock Interpreter and New artist in "Prêmio Açorianos" (the most important award of the genre in the South of Brazil).
She has developed artistic partnerships with other Brazilian musicians, and they composed several independent albums in the last decade. Nowadays, she sings and plays in "Brasinaria", which is a concert aiming to recover the Brazilian culture through reinterpretations of samba songs from the 40s and 50s.
Recently, she released her album "Quintais do Mundo", which has already conquered the local media. The new songs are available in Brazilian and International radio stations and in 2018 received three awards by this disc.
