BIO

Julio Piñera, known artistically as Don Ali, is the founder of The Masthaz. He began composing with Psycho from the group 4to Poder when they were schoolmates.

He has been involved in unprecedented milestones: he was part of the first Venezuelan hip-hop compilation, Directo de las Cloacas, recording a track with Big Habana produced by DJ 13.

He was a special guest alongside the legendary Blanquito Man (of Rey Changó) at the official launch of the album "La Corte Imperia."

He was the first Venezuelan to record a track with reggaeton stars Jowell & Randy. After a stint in soccer, he returned to music.

To solidify his global presence on compilations from New York and Puerto Rico, he led The Masthaz project, Together with Kas.

He collaborated with Jowell & Randy, Albizu and Lefty from Los Bandoleros, Don Omar, Psycho & New Kids, Salvaje SGP, Rocko & Blasty, and El Profe.

The music production was handled by producers such as DJ Matanza Kronyx Mágico, DJ Jamsha, Domy el Alquimista, Felito el Caballote from The Noise, and Quillon.

His music has been included in several mixtape series during the golden age of the urban music movement.

Don Ali is experiencing a rebirth and an avant-garde vision (such as his milestone as the first Venezuelan rapper to perform in Japanese). He returns 14 years later with an unprecedented project that fuses Spanish and Japanese aesthetics. This combination of codes, previously unexplored in the genre, completely redefines its artistic identity and challenges the limits of global urban music.
