chilldspot is a coined word combining chill, child, spot, and pot. The Tokyo-based three-piece band consists of hiyune (Vo/Gt), ryozan (Gt), and kozaki (Ba) Formed in 2019, they released their first EP the youth night in November 2020 while still in high school. Their first solo show at Shibuya WWW sold out, and they soon played major Japanese festivals like SUMMER SONIC and JAPAN JAM. In 2023, they released their second album Portrait. In 2024, they performed at festivals in China and Taiwan, signed with Chinese label Modern Sky, and launched a 14-city live house tour including overseas dates. Their first Beijing solo show in January 2025 sold out within 10 minutes. In September, they will release their third album handmade and embark on a nationwide tour titled chilldspot 5th one man live tour “mid way”. With a free-spirited, uncompromising approach to music, the band continues to attract a growing following both in Japan and abroad.
