“Derek was born and raised in NY but has been calling Wichita, KS, home for over two decades. He weaves soulful narratives into genre-blurring arrangements reminiscent of the sounds from the '60s and '90s. Although Derek started to play guitar and write as an adult, he managed to create a full-time career out of his solo performances by 25.

Like a modern-day troubadour, his sound is defined by growing up on the streets of NY, Long Island and his later life in the expanse of the Midwest. His travels have taken him to perform at Sundance and Studio B at Abbey Road Studios in London. Derek has made a lasting impression on the ears, hearts, and minds of all who have experienced him.

With his debut EP, "Imagination's Dream" soon to be recorded and released in Wichita, KS, he is poised to make a lasting mark on the music world.”
