Demented yet ethereal, industrial but delicate, tryptamine infused, yet cohesive in structure. These are ways to describe producer, vocalist, programmer, lyricist, and composer Skye Knight. Knight defies labels, a natural product of her omnivorous music consumption. Her influences vary as widely as ambient vocal, folk, psychedelic, mathrock, shoegaze, industrial, triphop, experimental electronic, no-wave, opera, Musique Concrète, and ASMR. She is heavily influenced by the power of effects as instruments and the idea of music as shapes. In addition to music Skye Knight is an accomplished visual artist and often takes inspiration from the visual world in her auditory compositions. She combines elements of small details in the material and natural world, science, and fantasy world building into her compositional inspirations, lyrics, and visuals. Along with this, she often explores themes of spiritual awakenings, compulsion, alternate universes, synesthesia, and sensory overload.
